At Stella Street Veterinary Clinic, we're proud Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) members. As such, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of quality and compassion. Our experienced vets and skilled nurses are committed to providing top-quality care for your pets. We believe in treating your pets like we would ours and work hard to provide a warm and welcoming environment where pets and their owners can feel at home.
Our involvement with RSPCA, Animal Welfare, National Desexing Network, Wires, and Wildlife ARC reflects our dedication to animal welfare. Beyond medical expertise, we understand the importance of a friendly face during tough times. We encourage visits for sick and hospitalised animals, providing comfort and familiarity to speed their recovery. Our mission is simple – we offer the best possible medical and surgical care to your beloved pets while treating you and your pets like an extension of our family.
Dr Michael Smith - Principal Veterinarian
With over 25 years of experience, I still find immense joy in being a veterinarian. My focus is surgery, particularly orthopedic procedures such as cruciate repairs which i have completed clinical courses in for TPLO &TTA surgeries as well as luxating patella surgery in dogs. Addressing long-standing skin problems in dogs is another area I am passionate about. Witnessing animals transition from discomfort to normalcy is truly rewarding. I'm dedicated to staying current by attending conferences and Australian Veterinary Association events, always striving for excellence.
Beyond the clinic, I enjoy the beach with my children and playful pets, including rescue greyhound named Bella, a whippet puppy called Bluey (yes my daughter named him), a rescue cat names Beatrice, and my Bearded dragon, Blue Beard.
Stephanie - Practice Manager / Head Nurse
For 14 years, I've been an integral part of Stella Street Veterinary Clinic. With 17 years of nursing experience, I'm deeply committed to animal welfare. As the Practice Manager and Head Nurse, I'm involved in all aspects of the clinic. Every day is a new adventure, and I'm proud to work with our incredible team. My rescued pets, including Tilda, Summer, Timothy, Allen, Jenny, Libby, Alice, Lillian, Flo, Bruno, Mabel, Elsa and Brian, keep me busy when not at the clinic.
Chris - Veterinary Nurse
I've been nursing for 15 years, with the past nine years dedicated to Stella Street. My interests spay surgery, reception, and medical nursing. My rescued cat, Beezle, is a cherished companion. Outside work, I'm a music enthusiast who enjoys attending gigs.
Fallon - Veterinary Nurse
Starting as a volunteer in 2016, I completed my Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing at Stella Street. Now a full-time member, I thrive in surgical nursing. My golden Labrador, Bodie, and black cat, Bobby, keep me company outside the clinic. I love the beach, movies, and shopping when not caring for animals.
Together, our Stella Street Veterinary Clinic team is dedicated to providing the best care for your beloved pets while ensuring you're part of our extended family.
